KKNK 2016

Milkor was invited by the SANDF to exhibit alongside them at the KKNK (Klein Karoo Nasionale Kunstefees) this past week in Oudtshoorn, South Africa to showcase South Africa's culture and history. At the Youth Training Wing of the SANDF, Milkor personnel discovered an old Y2 (about 30 years old) still being used for training. One of the world’s largest live-firing demonstrations got underway at the Overberg Test Range earlier this week when Rheinmetall and Denel hosted the second Defence Day, aimed at showcasing Rheinmetall Denel Munition’s capabilities to 400 guests from 57 countries around the world. These remarkably detailed weapons are available in desert and black, and are invaluable additions to any Milkor fan’s collection. After the positive responses and enquires at AAD 2012, Milkor proceeded with live fire tests on the Gyrocopter MGL mount. The Milkor 40 mm belt-fed weapon prototype was mounted onto the side of a Xenon gyrocopter from Wagtail Military. All tests were executed with ease with the recoil from the MGL being hardly noticeable and in no way affecting the Gyrocopter's handling.


Milkor would like to thank all those who visited our exhibit at the 2012 AAD (Africa Aerospace and Defence) exhibition held at Waterkloof Airforce Base, Tshwane, South Africa on the 19th to the 23rd September.
